Default Who shows em?

I have searched all over the place, but noone has explicitly answered this question.

3 people in the hand, 1st person bets, all 3 call and the 3rd person flips his cards first to show the winning hand. Do the first 2 have to show their cards or can they muck them. My friend says that he paid for the right to see everyone elses hand, I say they can muck them and if the 3rd guy, if he really wants to, can request to see the hands. But in general, I would say that if someone shows out of turn, I shouldn't have to show my hand.

Hopefully, this hasn't been answered a million times, but like a said, I have spent a lot of time searching and nothing really addressed this point.

Thanks

Anybody that paid to see a showdown can request to see all other hands that saw a showdown.

But the Etiquette usually is too have the bettor show first, then any hand that beats him can show, with the others mucking. But if any players requests, they must show.

Non-show down players cannot request to see any hands unless they think there is some cheating going on.
