Best way to advertise.

this is a great poker question. I rarely do it, but sometimes I will trun off auto muck, and show a bluff. Frequently, I will show folds to create I tight/weak image (that way I can get more credit for bluffs).

incase non poker advertising:

spamming is very effective imo. Partnering up w/ other sites to echange links to eachother's sites. newsletters. if your site has enough traffic, it will start to appear in google, yahoo, etc...

reggesteriung w/ a .com like gaypokerteens.com (ass opposed to gaypokerteens .blogspot etc..)

Advertising at anything below 1/2 is useless, anything below say 5/10 online will have less positive effect than negative.

Players are not around long enough online for you to gain any profit from advertising.

Don't do it.

Agreed. I make it a habit to never show my cards except for very rare occasions. The only time I ever show is when I make, or would have made a very strong hand like quads or above. I will also sometimes show when I raise a normal amount with AA and everyone folds to me.

idk, thats why i responded for poker and for online sites. i know MGD never puts stuff into the non-poker discussion (such as pizza hut fights w/ 26year old co-workers)

so it is possible that he saying "advertise" like his sig suggests.
