What i would be interetsted to know is do most of you top guys on here try and develop your own style of play?

In order to become a top player from nowhere I think perserverance and drive are 2 of the biggest factors.

Precisely Wota.... You HAVE to have the perseverence to weather the ups and downs, but you ABSOLUTELY need to have the drive to always be looking for ways to improve and better your game...

I was reading about one of the top players a while ago, can't remember who it was, perhaps phil ivey, and they had only read two books before, SSH and the theory of poker. So i think a lot of it must be the innate ability to read people. I think this is obviously more applicable in live situations.

P.S, can any of you poker legends help me out on my question about pot equity? Can't quite get my head around this concept.
