So ive been fing around abit...

Marm sent me 11$ on stars for paypal money.... First i played properly but it came very clear to me that with my exams looming i havnt got the patience or the time to play a very serious game. So i worked it up to around 30 and started messing about with it. I.e Playing way over my bankroll ect (note i never wanted to go broke totally so i never risked my whole stack what fun is fing around if u dont have anything to f around with!) So now im on 140$ after about 2 weeks of fing around. Just want some suggestions on what you guys think i should do next! Currently my biggest game played is a 1/2 game putting in 40$ of my stack with mixed results. One double up one double down

Can you easily replace it if you lost it all? Do you have a goal to try and turn it into a bigger number? If neither of these questions matter to you then keep doing what you're doing if you just want to play around.

Many of the players on here managed to take a few bucks and turn it into a fairly decent roll. Depends on exactly what you're looking to achieve.

Well, i cant replace 140, i can mayb reload 40ish of it IF i lost it all. But i need somthing to do to kick back during my exam period and not get too into it ya know.

Play low limit heads up NL tourneys and as soon as you get a 3-1 chip lead push in on every hand.

Well not sure about what you mean as far as looking for something to do but if you can play ML games you have a decent enough roll to play within certain limits and continue progressing into higher limits as time goes on. IMO this is where proper BR management comes into play. You can easily play penny NL tables or .10/.20 limt and be properly rolled. Through decent play and not having to worry about variance busting you, There's no reason you can't push that number up as high as you want. It'll just take longer because you're playing lower limits.

There was a thread recently about "how you built your BR" like I said there's plenty of people who grinded out a few bucks into a decent roll. Just a question of whether or not you want to grind or gamble.

yeh well ive done the whole grind thing a month ago. I know i have bankroll management when i want to. I turned 10$ into 200$ over a month playing penny games with 5% of my bankroll buy in (as according to chris fergason) so i know im capable of it. Mmm you have made me think now. Do i want to think back to how i could have turned my 140 into 500+ or think back to how i lost my 150 through dumb bankroll management

I've built $50 deposits into over $800 then promptly lost it all due to bad bankroll management, twice. Now I'm back up to around $800 and this time I'm playing within my bank. Period. While it is exciting to double or triple your bank in one night, know that a bad run IS coming and you will lose everything unless your playing within your roll.
