Kill games benefit good players for a variety of reasons

#1 - You essentially get to play a higher level for lesser blinds. Looking at it from the foxwoods 5/10 kill game: You get to play numerous hands of 10/20 for $2 and $5 blinds! You can practically play as tight as you want if there are numerous kill pots since you are only paying $7 a round instead of the $15 it costs to play 10/20.

#2 - As others have stated, people play differently in kill games. There are 2 styles they adopt, both of which benefit a good player. Style 1, they play retarded because they see big pots and want to win them. Style 2, they play scared because they are now at a level above what they want to play. Either style has advantages for a good player.

#3 - Bad players will win numerous pots in a row and be forced to post kill blinds more often than good players. this seems insignificant but it gets bad players involved in more pots and defending more blinds. The more they play, the more mistakes they will make.

good points Steve-O.

what do you think of reduced blinds tables they have on UB? The Annie Duke table is a 4/8 table with 1/2.

yes, I believe you are correct. It usually only runs when annie is sitting at it for the most part, so I am not an expert.

the blinds are 1/2 but if you want to see the flop you have to complete to $4.

I have been giving Steve-O a lot shit lately :good: So I have to give him some props here.

These two points really have me thinking.

I was always leery of Kill games because I thought it was a trick by the casino to up the rake and get people to play higher than they want.

But point 1 is excellent. This may just give me the motivation to play them more. UB has a 2/4 kill O8b game and numerous holdem kill games. I never thought of using the value approach to these games.

Why don't more of the online rooms spread kill games?

I think this would be an excellent addition to most sites especially those with decent traffic to make their games good, most full ring LHE (1/2 -3/6) games are dreadful lately.

ask them, request them and we may get them. while you are at it. ask AP to make the tables 10 seat and 8 seat, this 9 and 7 shit sucks.
