Default Apparently bots are a real problem...

I was playing in a tourny on party today, and it lil message box popped up asking me to type in some crazy letter-code within 120 seconds or be forced to sit out the tourny. It explained that this is a safety measure against ppl using bots with thier software.

If they need this upfront of defense apparently there is a problem. Anyone else get this?

Probably the Party players aren't so great so that a bot beats them easily.

I haven't encountered this on PStars yet...

Well I'm impressed and I think that is excellent. Major credit to party for being proactive on this front. I haven't seen it yet but I'll be waiting for it.

I agree with Kliph. I haven't seen it yet, though.

No man, you have to enter 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 every 108 minutes on the Hatch computer.

Oh wait, I thought I was still in the Lost thread.

Nevermind.

its prolly at a low leveled site where noone really plays so they set bots up there.

PP100 has some......problems. But he tries.

Party recently had a "scandal" (?correct term) where is was very clear that a team of bots was playing the $22 SNG's. So this must be a new coutermeasure they started. I am impressed Party could get their heads outta their asses long enough to figure this out. See 2+2 for more info.
It is a serious problem that is only going to get worse.

What's wrong with using bots to play?
A bot can only be as good as it's programmer and a decent player multi tabling 8 SNG's is essentially a bot anyway.

He will have set starting hand requirements based upon position/blind stage/stack size/opponents, and if he is using a progamme like GT+ HUD, would have all the information a bot would aswell.
