Maybe I am playing Devil's advocate here but if using bots is unethical, is using Poker Tracker/Gametime also unethical? Is reading strategy books unethical? Any fish can buy a Limit Hold 'Em book and follow the instructions to the letter.
I think If bots were freely usable the winning player would still win by picking up which players are using which bots and adjusting their play accordingly.

Not sure you followed the links...they offer card-sharing services too. F*cking assholes if you ask me.
Anyways, I'll stick to tourneys at PS, seems the safest for now especially the multis (avoids card-sharing at least)

bots dont have human weakness such as fatigue and emotion. if someone was good enough to program a bot they could turn there computer on and let it run. It is never going to get tired thus it can play all day and even if it is only making 5/hr playing low limit the person using it doesnt have to do anything so he is making free money. Even the best players go on tilt alittle during horrible runs and make calls they normally wouldn't a bot is going to follow its program it doesnt matter if it has aces cracked 30 times in a row that doesnt affect it.

In a ring game, you could just ask the other players if they're bots or not
Sounds silly but why not? It's just 5 others in a 6-hander, so if all are human probability should be fairly high they all respond

Asking players to respond won't work if the players have ignore chat on. =(

People ask me if I am a bot all the time.
Usually I respond with something along these lines.
