theres bout 1000 threads over 2p2 bout this...majority of them are complete crap but you should be able to get enough info from some of them

its a great idea IF it could get the fish to play there.....ive never checked out the software or any of the games but from some of the threads ive read, it appears that the games are not very soft

a mass advertising campaign is what they need to get the ordinary joe playing there on a regular basis

from what ive read, they're attached to a major sportsbook so there should be no risk of them going belly up in the middle of the night

and that concludes my synopsis of what i know on this subject....thank you for listening

The sportsbook makes more than enough to provide the poker room rakefree, its basically an advertising service.

I've been playing there for a week or so. I've been playing about 2000 hands a day of 5/10 LH over at Party. I'll give most of that action to Worldpx now. Yeah, they're currently small, sort of like a 20 table B&M, but with 100% rakeback, they'll grow.
Add up all the rake you paid last month. Now, imagine you have it all back. If you're a losing player, suddenly you've broken even. Breakeven? now you're over a 1bb/100 winner. A winner...well, no need to explain.
The games are currently tighter than Party, but not really tougher. If more people understand how huge this is, Worldpx will grow and surpass Party. Plus, other casinos will have to lower their rake to compete. We all win. Then Party can net just $200 million instead of the nearly $500 million they did last year. I feel sorry for them already.

Thats a good point griff, it would be a wise move for the internet poker community as a whole to support a site with no rake. It would force rake down at other sites, the only prob is just like Dee said - the idea of no rake appeals to good players who play alot and know to always maximize thier edge. This means less fish so even with rake other (looser) sites will still be more profitable.

Hi, Fishodeath:

My preliminary conclusion is that a no rake tighter site still beats a looser raked site, but I'm interested in any analysis you may have done. I figure I'm paying Party about 1.6bb/100 in rake. My win rate is a bit under 1bb/100.

It's a weird dilemma that the fish don't understand rake which enables casinos to charge such ridiculous prices, but if the fish get educated would they still be fish? Yet, if the rake were a more reasonable average of, say, $1 max, then many losers would win and even the horrible player would get a lot more play and have more fun.

Anyway, I'm going to play a lot on WPX and evaluate my results.
