Default My risky bankroll method

Well, I'm deploying back to the middle east at the end of the month, so I didn't feel like grinding out .50 tables. So with $20 I began this experiment.

I'm playing on UB right now, 3 tables max. I would buy in to 3 games total with as much of my bankroll as I could, sitting with 20 BB at each table. When my total cash reaches enough to up a table (or lower one) I do so immediately.

For example, at $180, I would play 1 2/4 (with 80) and 2 1/2 (with 40 each). When I hit $200, I close a 1/2 and open another 2/4.

So long as I follow the rules and close tables when I lose, it seems to work well. I was briefly over 400 two days ago, and am at 250 consistently this week. The reason I like it is because I can rapidly climb in limits and it soothes the "gamble" a bit. I know it increases my risk of ruin... but how much? If anybody knows how to figure that, it'd be super

Considering the amount of bank you could depo when you get back, I think this is going to be a lot of fun to play. You have a strong Utility Function influence here, so doing this is ok. Yeah, your RoR goes up, alot, but who cares? In a month your poker BR is going to be one of your lesser worries.

Do me a favor and stay safe huh? And I want Monthly posts by you (assuming you have access to the net).

PFO wasn't blocked last time i was there, so I should still be able to haunt these forums

I'm not going to Iraq... rather U.A.E ... and I'll be staying on an air-base there, so the worst I have to worry about are camel spiders and sunburn. Thanks for the concern though

A coworker of mine is deploying to Iraq around the same time. She's a sergeant in a transportation unit. Basically she drives the huge fuel trucks around. So we've gone out a few times shopping for personal defense weapons (boot knives, small handgun, etc).

Those camel spiders look nasty! Anyway be careful PJ! Good luck over there. Do some good for the PFO!

Just think of all those nights in the barracks taking money from your fellow army buddies. Thats got to be profitable.

Good luck. Stay Safe. And Thank you for serving this country!
