Default Neteller Debit Card

Does anyone use the Neteller Debit Card? I'm considering getting one as a way to get my poker winnings(should I ever actually get some) out without having to go through my bank account. I *think* by doing this I could avoid paying taxes on my winnings, as well as buy stuff without my wife complaining so much.

So I was wondering if Poker sites or Neteller report winnings to the U.S. Government?
I was also wondering about the fees associated with the Debit Card. I noticed a $5 per 30 days of inactivity. Does this mean that I can just buy a pack of gum(and pay the .75 fee) once a month to keep from paying this?
Any other comments about Neteller or their debit card are welcomed.

Thanks,
GoFish

poker rooms are all located over seas due to the legality of it in the United States and neteller is just a way to transfer money to people like paypal, they don't do any reporting as for not paying taxes, if you win a substantial amount they will find out about it, if you are winning a couple hundred dollars then they dont really care

Netteller Q

Got mine, its nice. I think the fee is only acrued when there is a balance on the card. The card and NT accounts are seperate accounts. You must transfer funds between them.

Seems like a pretty good idea in theory, but Netellers fees really turned me off of them and my transfers through Firepay are super cheap comparitively, and I usually have my funds the next day trough firepay so I pretty much dropped Neteller. BUT, I bank with a credit union, not a bank and they are FAR less restrictive with regards to holding up incoming transfers when compared to a "bank".. When I sold alot on E-bay I had a bank and a CU account and the funds would be in my CU acct the next day if I transfered before 3PM, the bank was 3-4 business days like clockwork..... So I guess depending on how fast your bank was at processing your funds, the ATM card would be better, but I cant justify paying to withdraw funds from an ATM (probably 3%-5% depending on withdrawls) when I get them quick enough anyways....

Yeah, I really do hate fees. I've canceled several bank accounts when they wouldn't waive some obscure fee.

But for getting cash out of the poker sites, it seems more like a business expense which could be managed. There's only a $.75 fee for purchases, so I could make a transfer and a purchase for $2.75. If I can accumulate a few hundred dollars before making a purchase then it won't seem so bad.

Right now my plan is to bonus whore for awhile and see if I can actually win some. My game seems to have improved alot, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to win a few hundred dollars in the next month or two. If I can pull that off then I'll put more serious thought into the debit card.

Also, on the Tax front. I'd be more inclined to claim taxes on my earnings if I went through my bank acct. I'd probably have to pay about 20% or so, so if I managed to win $1000 over the course of the year then I'd much rather pay a few debit fees than to pay the $200 in taxes.
