Just seen a guy fold to a 98c bet when the pot was over $25. His excuse was "I trust my reads"........

He could well have missed a draw with 63 or similar and been delighted at the opportunity not to reveal his hand.

If his hand wasn't even beating a bluff, then what's wrong with folding?

Pot odds doesn't matter if you can't win.

Well on a .10/.25 table when you've re-raised every round surely calling for your opponents last .98 is a given.

That is pretty weird...especially if the guy who folded was the aggressor on each street, but again like Irexes said, he could've missed some kind of draw the he was betting like crazy on.

Sure it does. If you're sure you're beat, try it with a better hand next time.

We would need more details from the OP though...

He had 98c. Pretty crappy to begin with, must have been the BB. What was the flop, how many hands were involved, what bankroll did he come in with, what did he have left?h

All this info is needed to know whether it was a good fold or not.

If that's unbelievable, what about someone calling a river bet with quad jacks that I just saw? No bets after the flop or turn, someone bets on the river and the person called.

Claimed to be slowplaying.

Well, this player is a fucking idiot.

As for the original post...this guy only needs to win the pot just shy of 4% of the time to make money, unless hes got 3 high, i have to call this. And for the pot to get that big, and him to be sitting on a draw. Then this guy must be a douche.
