    Default Need advice

I've been playing poker for about 8 years, the majority of that is tournament play. I play some cash, mostly limit, but want to make that jump to no limit. I do very well in tournament play but for some reason have a tougher time in cash games. Seems like I chicken out when it comes to cash, working on improving my balls to the wall attitude. Can anyone give me some solid advice on making that jump to no limit cash games?

I am the same but haven't found that tightening up to be a problem.

Seems cash games are tighter in general too.

I wouldn't be bothered about it. I reckon find a limping cash game and that will naturally allow you to open your range up a bit.

Just start at the bottom if you have some issue with it. Nothing wrong with playing 2nl/4nl, where the money shouldn't matter that much. You'll build up tolerance to swings soon enough.

Loosen up in cash games, and make sure you have plenty of BB's. So when you hit the nuts, you can get paid a ton.

Play lower limit games, set a goal of when to get up (if you double up you leave for example). Even a 1/2 NL with $100 buy-in you can win $800 plus in a session if you get hot.

So your advice is: Set a goal and quit when you reach it, or: Balls to the wall till you either go broke or have eight times your buy-in!

Yes. Set a monetary goal or time limit and stick to it. Don't play short stacked, don't go on tilt and don't play when tired and you'll be better off than half the poker players out there.
