I found a way that will let people play online poker again. You need "HTTP-TUNNEL" and "Sockscap" and a proxy server to use, aswell as a new account that isn't associated with usa. HTTP-TUNNEL and a proxy server work to make it seem like your not in usa. Sockscap makes it so you can log onto Pokerstars.

this website helped me figure it out a little better as well but instead of wow.exe you use your Pokerstars GUI launcher in your C:\Program Files\PokerStars. The warcraft login is similar to the pokerstars login.

now you need a proxy server. I went here Free Proxy Lists - IP and Port Lists - Hide My Ass!. I tried the servers with the PL infront of them but I didn't get one that worked. Try them if you want. you don't need to use this place but i did.

So first get the ip you want and write it down. then when you install HTTP-TUNNEL. it will ask you to configure it. Select the "Specify Proxy" option and put in the ip and port. Then hit "Test". If its successful good. if not try another IP and port from hidemyass.com or another place. After that window closes it will ask you for a Subscription key, you don't need one just click the use free service.

Next for Sockscap. if you try and download it from brother soft they want to give you a toolbar thing but get it wherever you want.I got it here without the toolbar thing.

Once installed DON'T MESS WITH ANY OF THE SOCKSCAP SETTINGS. LEAVE THE SOCKS SERVER BLANK AND THE PORT TO 1080. LEAVE THE PROTOCOL THE SAME. JUST DONT MAKE ANY CHANGES and when you click ok it will give you a message "You did not specify a SOCKS server. All connections will be direct". click ok.
the tutorial Sockscap Tutorial | Sockscap32 Download from step 3 shows how to do it but you need to do it 4 times for 4 diffrent programs in Pokerstars. Pokerstars GUI, PokerStarsCommunicate, PokerStarsUpdate, and Tracer. they all have the red spade logo next to them.
In that New application profile window you don't need to name the profile just click browse and find your pokerstars file. Mine was C:\Program Files\PokerStars . Now your Sockscap should have 4 programs in it. Highlight the Pokerstars one and then click run from the Sockscap control main window. and it will open Pokerstars.

the last thing you have to do is to change the User.ini file so pokerstars knows your using a proxy. and thats all in the above link from PokerStars Proxy Guide - Connect to Poker Stars with Proxy - Rakeback.com

It took be about two days of online looking before i figured this out but once i got it installed it worked. Loging into warcraft is similar to loging into Pokerstars so the lightbulb went off in my head.

this should at the very least get you to be able to play the large freeroll tourament games that I liked playing under tournament and regional as well as in the PSO league provided u pass the Pso test on your new account.

to sum it up you need new poker account thats not usa related. witch means made up address and a new email for it. Also "HTTP-TUNNEL", "Sockscap", and a proxy server IP.

please read the Ehow link and pokerstars proxy guide from rakeback to help figure out what your doin. this PDF file also helped me figure some things out becase proxify is simular to Sockscap and is how I realized you had to add 4 programs into Sockscap (also if you don't have to add all 4 programs to make it work good but I didn't actually test just the pokerstars GUI with out the others.) http://http-tunnelclient.com/files/PokerStars.pdf

Also I don't use full tilt poker or the other ones, and I use win xp not vista or win 7. Im not to technical about all this stuff just determined to play my poker.

If you can't connect or you have to change your proxy server. You will have to change it in "HTTP-TUNNEL" and update your User.ini file. just had to do it myself so I figured id mention it

I am not supporting these threads anymore, they're likely to be breaking rules and end up being about laundering money.

Instead of trying to "make it work", change the situation. Support the PPA, write to your congress, or something
