For those of you who make substantial money playing online poker, how long did it take you to run your bankroll up, and what stakes did you start playing at?

My story is not relevant in today's online poekr climate (the games are MUCH tougher now) but the key is to get out of the micro-stakes so the rake becomes much less of a factor. If you are playing or "stuck" under $200 NLHE you need ot do everything possible to get your bankroll up and out of these low-limit games.

Problem is, today the $100 and $200 NLHE games are fairly tough

I've run as low as cashing in play chips on pstars and rolled it up to a grand. Took about 3 weeks of solid play.

Probably making 4mil play chips, selling them for about $6 and building BR from there...

just google it, there is plenty of websites willing to buy them from you and sell them to you twice the price lol...
obviously people buy them not realising they could of bought real money chips with that money LOL

ok, so you said you ran 6 bucks up to a grand in 3 weeks????? wanna give me some tips? what stakes were you playing? These micro stakes are driving me insane and i gotta run my bankroll up again. i gotta change my game or something. playing 01 02, it took quite a bit longer than 3 weeks to get over 100 dollars. i know pot odds and fold equity and all that shit, but i swear i'm getting sucked out on constantly. like 7 times i remember last night. all big pots and river cards. i mean they go all in with 83 n shit, it's almost not even poker. i found the 02 05 easier, but i dont have enough for that right now.

if you can't tell i'm on like perma tilt right now, which is rare for me. i mean, i don't understand how these people still have money in their accounts some of the things they do.
