Keep a record of all your play at every level. This is the only way you will know if your a winning player, or a losing player. Most people think they could be a pro. Once you have two years of data you will have something objective to base your decision on. Poker software might help, the old adage "garbage in garbage out applies here. I just posted an article about becoming a pro on my site, http://www.bluerakeback.com

Best start is to read some highly rated poker books. Read a few in depth and as you read more start skimming through everything you've read before.
Also read some poker articles online, try to focus on specific concepts or problems. twoplustwo and flopturnriver have a lot of good articles/resources.

I just looked up what 800 pounds is and dude if I had $1,300+ dollars A WEEK I would NOT be in a rush to learn poker. LOL, just saying here in the US thats a good living.

Anyway. Knowledge is power. READ, READ AND READ! Then after that PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE!

Really? You been playin' poker for 2 weeks and you're talkin' pro. Do you realize that to be a poker pro you need to have a good understanding of all aspects and games involved. You can't just rely on one game to make a living at it. Have you ever even played a game like stud or draw or omaha, probly not. I say stick to the horses!!
