I would appreciate your advice. I am a new player but have been watching poker shows for a long time. I only play NL Holdem.

About a month ago I registered on a poker site with a $10 deposit. I started out by playing .10 - 25c NL and then progressed to .25 - .50c games. I occasionally play .50 - 1$ nl but am not sure if that is too high at this stage. I have built the initial deposit to just over $500 so its going ok but not sure if i should stick to the .25 - .50c games and build slowly or move up.

The tables I go for are either 6 handed although i prefer the 10 handed tables because I am a tight player and prefer to be able to wait for premium hands.

I'd definitely play 25NL or lower. Even 20 buyins is on the low side. Play tens of thousands of hands to figure out whether you are a winner.
