I didn't see anything about this in the forum, so thought I'd post it here.

Something I liked using when playing was my Xbox controller in conjunction with Table Ninja. It's not an expensive setup (if you already have a wireless controller) and it doesn't take too long to set up either.

What you'll need is this:

* Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows: Video Games ($30)

* Xpadder.com ($10)

* Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - Glossy Black: Video Games (if you don't have one already, $45)

* Table Ninja or AHK (FREE to $60)

=======

The setup is pretty easy. You'll first download xpadder, and setup the buttons there. Once you test the buttons are working, you go into Table Ninja and then format what buttons will perform what action (betting, all in, folding, calling, etc, etc). Setup should take maybe a half hour, hour max.

=======

What I liked about using this setup:

- No mouse/keyboard -totally wireless -- I did everything using the controller....since TN allows you to set up your bet sizing in advance, I only used my mouse/keyboard in extreme situations where I wanted to do a funny bet size

- Comfort of a controller -- I'm not a gamer or anything, but I have logged my share of hours... I just felt more comfortable playing with a controller in my hand

- Responsive -- I thought the controller enabled me to be faster, between cycling through tables and making decisions ... I had more time overall, which also gave me the opportunity to add more tables

===========

What I didn't like...

- Easy to sit back and get comfortable with a controller...put my feet up and relax....not really good when I'm playing 10-15 tables and should be attentive

- One extra program open to worry about (xpadder)

- Possible battery failure of wireless components

- Need to be careful to set your hot keys up right....I first had my joystick as my all in (for sngs), and have bumped it on accident more than once....

- Responsive -- it's a good thing, but for things like cycling through tables or bet sizing, being more responsive isn't always better

===========

Overall, I think it's an interesting setup. I only used it for a little while, but with more fine tuning I'm sure I could've gotten used to it.

Maybe one of you guys will like it better?

** Fwiw, I have no idea how to set it up with AHK since I've never used AHK...but from what I understand it can be done...
