Exclamation Carbon Poker needs photo ID for withdrawal!!!!What a crooked site!!!

I have been trying to withdrawal money from carbon pokers site for 6 days now and they finally sent me a notice saying I have to scan my photo identification and the front and back of a credit card ( if used, glad I didnt). This is just a way for this unethical site to ensure that the players using do not withdrawal there money!!!!!! They never ask for photo ID when depositing onto the site!!!!! What a totally outright scam!!! I recommend to everyone not to play on Carbon Pokers site!!!!! and to pass this message along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any comments??

I think most poker sites do this if it's a large sum that you're wanting to withdraw but to be honest it isn't really a scam. If you didn't withdraw the money and eventually lost it through playing, it wouldn't go to the owners of the site it would simply go to the people you have been beaten by.

To be honest, I do think they try to discourage people to withdraw money buy as long as it isn't made impossible it is understandable.

If carbon was serious about running an ethical site then they would ask for ID upon entering there site before depositing, not just when u withdrawal... I never had to show ID for fultilt so no it is not 100% standard....

Fulltilt was not fully legit, considering their current circumstances. Poker sites actually based in the UK or Australia and not just in some independent island are subject to stricter laws.

If you want your money, you will show them your ID and CC. I don't see what the problem is. FYI I have been playing on carbon for about 3 weeks now. So far so good. Seems legit to me.

All Internet poker sites reserve the right to ask for photo ID upon withdrawal. They probably would not have had you just made a withdrawal request and sat quiet. I believe you spoke about your frustration over the length of time the withdrawal was taking in a previous post.

Poker Stars doesn't ask for anything. What could Carbon poker use a photo ID for?

One big difference is that Carbon is oversaw by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and Pokerstars by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. I always suggest reading the EULA and research sites before joining/depositing.
