READ THIS NOW!!!!! (US Players)

Yeah, online poker is currently done for in the US. I can count the rooms on one hand that are still operational.
Bit of good news though...
http://www.flopturnriver.com/blogs/o...drawn-up-14720
...Financial Services member John Campbell of California stated, “With this here, it won’t be Americans playing on foreign sites, it will be foreigners playing on American sites.” Online poker is sure to create jobs in the United States and protect consumers from any shady business on foreign poker sites...
I was worried that we'd be stuck playing against other US players only, but that may not be the case.Last edited by KnightofNarg; 05-25-2011 at 11:29 AM. Reason: Stickied

I was SO close to making a real money deposit at Doyles Room. I had the money ready and everything. I just had to buy the Visa gift card.
What kind of regulations do you think we'll see when it comes to proving ID, age, etc? Some sites, I know, require you fax them a copy of your Drivers license or Non-Drivers Photo ID Card. Doyle was one along with Club WPT. Though the latter refused to take my non driver card. How will they know FOR SURE that a 7yo isn't logging into the rooms? You know what I'm saying?

I think I'm going to wait until the legislation is passed in the House. I would really hate to make a deposit to one of the remaining rooms and they get raided. What do you think, wise move?

I don't live in the states, but yeah, if I did, I wouldn't be trusting any of the online sites yet. That really sucks
guess you just have to take more trips to the casino (if your town has one even...)

Here in the states you have to be at least 21 years of age or older to sit at table games. I could travel to Canada where the table age minium is 19, but I don't have the money for a trip like that or the money to get a Passport right now which you must have to get back in the US. I'll use this time between now and the legislation passing to study stratagy and other aspects of the game.

Iowa has a couple Indian casinos that allow 18 year old players, one of them only allows them to play poker.
I'd wait to play, just seems like too much of a hassle to play. The rooms left to play are low traffic, icky software, and just don't seem that soft.

Mhm... there's a thought. I know here in NY we got some Indian nations... I'll check the age. That might be an option...
