I work a job $9 dollars an hour. I barely can afford to pay my rent and food however this will do while I go to school.
2 weeks ago I took $150 dollars to a casino and played $1/$2.
I ended the night at $1500 total. I went back the next night and ended up a lot. I had $6k this morning and I felt like I was on top
of the world. I went back to the casino and played $2/$5 and lost $2500. Now I have divided the money up like this
I have $3500 left
$1000 towards surgery
$500 for having fun during the summer
$1000 for bills.
That leaves me with $1000 that I plan to use for my live bankroll and try to make as much as possible in April playing more solid
ABC poker. Should I buy in for $200 or $100 or $150 for more buyins? Any advice would be appreciated. Not really interested in
online poker at this time.

Acording to all the articles I have read, they all seem to recomend not taking more than 5% of your BR to the table at any given time. So, 5% of $1000 is $50. I haven't visited a casino yet (only 19) so I don't know what the minium buy-in is.

You should be able to afford at least 25 buy ins at your table

He seems like a good player though. Turning $100 into $6500. Of course, we all have swings and that's why we need the padding.

What you should do is play smart with $1000 u can earn a lot of money if u are patient. Play with 2-5% of this bankroll. But the perfect way to win faster and more is to play both live and online..I saw you are not interested in online poker, but with 30% rakeback you will start earning a lot more. For example 4 hours a day on 4 tables $1/$2 and u will make $1000 only from rakeback. When i started playing i really didnt know much and now I`m trying to help people.
Home if you have any more question I`ll be glad to help you. In live games sure there are a lot of donks but the casino takes all the rake

OP, looks like you you're on a very hot streak, and it started to end. I'd give up on live poker until you can get a better cashflow. Try to find some homegames or something.
You are sorely trying my patience. More than half your response has nothing to do with OP's question.

You should play about 10% of your bankroll – otherwise you could lose all of it. Try online poker as well, rb% is not bad there.

I recommend playing online at smaller stakes so you can play within your bankroll
