I wonder if it would be possible to continue to play on pokerstars if I went down to Mexico and opened a dollar account in a Mexican bank and established a Mexican address.
How would it be possible to change the IP address of my computer so they would not know I was American?

If you try to open a canadian bank, no chance as Canada reports everything back to the US, dunno about mexico.
Changing your IP? Not a chance, a lot of people have looked into this and stars WILL find out eventually, and will likely ban your account.

I guess I don't understand why I would care if the bank reported my account to the US. Pokerstars is preventing me from playing, not the US government. The Canadian bank is not is not subject to US laws if they do not have a branch in the US. I am sure there is not a law that says they cannot handle an Americas funds as he likes as long as it does not violate Canadian laws.
The IP is the problem. I may just move to Rocky Point and get a local internet provider.
