    Default Is It Just Me??

New to the site, but wanted to voice my frustrations about Full Tilt poker and see if anyone else out there felt the same way:
Originally a Poker Stars member, but about 1 1/2 years ago switched to Full Tilt. Within 2 weeks, won a $1500 tourney, but ever since, have CAUGHT THE WORST BEATS EVER!! Recent losses include 77 to my KK, Q2 suited to my JJ, 44 to my AQ, 49 to my AK. Is this to be expected on every poker site because I'm about to retire from internet poker!!

    I regret to inform you...
This is just sickness that plays on your mind...bordering the suspicions of cheating...

but to be completely honest with you, the sickness continues live and online..
also 77 to KK, isnt unlikely..
    Q2 to JJ, live card
44 to AQ - your slightly behind anyways
49 to Ak - only ahead beacuse of overs

I dont think any of those are actualy bad beats..
this is my bad beat i delivered the other day, AQ vs 33 , flop AK3 turn Q river A... thats a bad beat

If you move over to live poker only, you will not notice the bad beats so much, unless you play a large amount of poker.

Im not trying to upset you, im just saying...
Ive quit online poker very shortly ago for the next 3 months, this is simply because its become an addiction and its time to say no, not because of the bad beats...
trust me(this isnt a large enough amount of games, but i went through like 70 buy ins at $36 sng's with only 6-9 cashes...)
Online poker/live poker can be very very sick to you sometimes...

    You just gotta overcome it,
and just for a slight intake on your own game,
yes you won a $1500 tourny, but MTT's have such HUGE variance (like HU) that a large cash is very unlikely unless you are a SUPER USER and play over 100 a day which again is unlikely..
not to mention,,, maybe your not winning because the players your now playing are improving and getting better than you?
dont doubt the cards, doubt yourself aswell.. maybe you have leaks, maybe you shouldnt of putting yourself in a certain position to lose?

    anyways GL

The biggest problem that most internet players face, is playing out of boredom. It can chew up a bankroll. I have played over 1600 tournaments on PS, I had 13 wins, 27 final tables, etc. It wasnt until recently that I decided I would never again play just because I was bored. I have since cashed in 15 straight, at several different levels. I decided that if I was gonna play it I would treat it just like I do when I go to the casino. So, I dont think quitting is the right move its evaluating everything about your game. Make the necessary changes. There are enough fish out there for all of us! GL

Winning in between suck outs and bad beats is just the way it goes. It takes a strong will to overcome the harshness that is poker. If you can't handle this, get out! Otherwise, we can try to help you cope as much as possible.

Welcome to the forum jdawg! I agree with what these guys say. Overall, people think online poker delivers more bad beats. Not true. We chalk it up to the volume of hands. It's gonna happen, live or online, stars or full tilt. Like narg said, you just have to overcome them.

Bad beats are everywhere..live and online and on all the sites. I'm just coming off a horrible 4 or 5 days, the bad beats were fast and furious. Try to stick to your game plan and stay within your bankroll moving down in stakes if need be. Throwing away your pride and ego wouldn't hurt either..cold and calculating is the road to success.
