So I am in Washington state for a weekend vaccation. As I opened Full Tilt to play a few hands of poker... I get a message:
Due to Washington state law, you are unable to play for real money. You can turn any T$ and Tournament tickets into $$ and make withdraws... but you can't play for money on our site!
I'm like what?? Are there any other states that are being effected by something like this? Anyone know why this might be so different state to state?

I've been playing for quite some time now and I've never seen a pop up like that. Maybe the government is finally sticking to their word and cracking down on internet gambling? That really irritates me.

It's just for those in Washington. Most other states are a bit more progressive.

A younger guy that I used to work with used to live in Vegas for four years, and he said it was amazing when he first got there. He had a lot of friends that were higher up in places, and he could do almost anything for free. He said after a while though, it's a really terrible place to live. All everybody does is party, and most people there are addicted to something. He moved back because he was trying to find somebody to settle down with, and he couldn't see him finding a woman he could trust there.
I can understand how that would get old, but to me, somebody who's never experienced that sort of night life, I can't wait to go there some day.
