Decided to give the 888 site a whirl after seeing their tv adverts with a free £5 bonus..

I got the £5 and then had the audacity to play a game with it, I won the game and then guess what happens....

My account is suspended for 'taking advantage of their bonuses'.

Nothing else. no explanation, just the odd automated email..

What a site, anyone else had a similar experience?

Quick internet search reveals they have a lot of limits and exclusions to their bonus money, and a little bit shady as well. They claimed people had multiple accounts, and the people swore they didn't.

At least you didn't lose too much, right?

No, never lost anything, it was a free £5, no deposit needed, used it to enter a tourny though and won £34..

So they have effectively stolen £34 off me..

I meant in general though, from the +/- stuff I searched around for about them, I wouldn't trust them to be legit when it comes to their free $$$ bonus.

Consider it a cheap lesson. Don't play on shady site. Full Tilt, Stars and a couple others have been around for a long time and players have more or less been satisfied with the way they are treated.
