Raising 5xBB UTG w/ 77 then calling on a flop with AQx is terrible playing. Instead of getting mad that you got lucky then someone else out-lucked you, try learning to play the entire hand better.

Posting actual HH's with reads on opponents will allow us to better help you. But you're probably done with poker so nevermind.

I dont think he played the hand THAT bad. Depends on the pot and/or implied odds

REASON: I bet on that flop as it "looks" like it hit my hand range from UTG/EP also REMEMBER I was the pre flop raiser so the "story" adds up a raise then a bet, bet is strength "real strength" or do I misunderstand "showing strength" or semi-bluff, I truly believe that by passively checking, I would of shown that I had either missed or trying to trap moreso because of the pre-flop raise.
So If LP puts me on a trap he checks, if he thinks I missed he bets knowing that the BB is sandwiched and will probably fold effectively pushing me out too, also the BB checked on that flop which said to me "i'm weak but will might call a c-bet" sorry for reading the situation almost spot on. My intention was to semi-bluff whilst trying to get the implied odds/situation to hit my hand if they called but also at the same time protect my hand if both folded, obviously if a re-raise came from either player I would have to fold in my opinion.

Thanks, at least someone understands why I played the way I did, instead of saying like what azeldin did and claimed I played it poorly.
I am not trying to be disrespectful to azeldin when I say that, you must only think of your hand to think I played poorly in that hand.
I thought about the situation I was in (3 players acting second), the flop (unconnected, no flush/4 to a flush at best, unpaired) and what my opponents would do (explained above).
My way of thinking in this situation is if a flop hits your "perceived range, from X position", why not bet more-so if you raised pre-flop, as like I tried explaining above a player betting on 3 rounds of betting says to anyone "I am strong & I have a good hand" its not like it was limped and I'm betting blindly hoping my opponents will fold, also I am not betting on a flop I can NEVER win for e.g. (flush, paired or connected), so I fail to see how I played poorly.

Think of the hand again azeldin if I never had shown you my hole cards and I only told you that I raised EP/UTG 5XBB your range would start AK, AQ, AA-TT, AJs, then I told you the action on flop & turn, you too would come to assumption like the BB did I must have "the goods" maybe even 2 pair AQ which surprise, surprise is within my range from EP/UTG.

But I shall remember in future that if I do go back to poker that I will check every time I miss so I give my opponents a "free ticket to outdraw/bluff/semi-bluff me & loose money in the long run".
