    Exclamation Rake query

    Hi All

I have recently discovered that a well known poker site are actually taking 100% more rake than prominently displayed. The Poker site and the respective Governing Body state that it is not an issue as the page it was displayed on is a 'Frequently Asked Questions' page. I guess they mean:

Who would want to goto to this page/Why would anyone want to goto this page

But most importantly why would anyone actually believe what they saw on this page

    Quote from their response:

The Terms and Conditions is the legal and binding document which you agree to play and abide by when you register your player account. The Terms and Conditions posted on the web site are in fact correct and reflect correct and accurate information with regards to the matter you raised.

The error you refer to was on the “Frequently Asked Questions” page. _______________ has since updated the web site page “Frequently Asked Questions FAQ” as necessary to reflect the correct information with reference to the rake structure, we thank you for bringing this matter to our attention

To find it you would have to follow the following complex directions, all of which are prominently displayed and accesible from the front page of any one of several of their sites:

Support - Frequently Asked Questions - Rake

Although, since my intervention they have removed this 'blemish'.

If you had expected 5% to be taken, well they are actually taking 10%. But only on the lowest limit table!!

They put it down to a 'flaw'. The governing body put it down to an 'error' covered by the t's&c's.

In the cold light of day, they have deceived the most vulnerable players at their site, the low limit players.

Having been down the formal route..........What would you suggest I do with all these correspondence and screen prints...............

Or does anyone really care anyway......................

There is no reason not to post details. At the very least it will put pressure on them to correct the mistake on the FAQ page.

Thanks RBD. The mistake has been corrected.

Thinking mostly of the Low Limit players effected by this, but also every player thinking 5% is good.

Most would have seen the advertised capped rake at 5%. You have to admit that would swing most people, regular players or new.

I only started playing online recently and the first thing i wanted to know was how much does the house take.

To get this amount 100% wrong, well not sure this was an 'error' 'flaw' 'mistake'. Also very convienent that it is covered by t's & c's.

In literal terms, this means that web sites can say anything they want to pull players in. True or totally fabricated.

    Thanks for your response.

    Shuffle up and DEAL....................
