Hi all;
An interesting situation just came up on a table I was playing at not long ago. It was a freeroll qualifier, with the top 500 finishers being awarded a ticket for a more lucrative freeroll (and small cash prizes, too). There were about 520 players left (10,000 entries), when I lost a massive pot leaving me with not even enough chips to complete a blind, however I managed to win the next hand leaving me with enough chips to survive another orbit.
Due to being so close to the qualifying stage, I decided to let my timebank expire with the hope that the other 20 players would go out. To my surprise, and without my asking, 3-4 other players at the table all agreed to do the same thing, and they also let their timebanks expire, which resulted in my qualifying for the next freeroll.
Although it was an extremely nice thing for those players to do, and I appreciated it greatly, I was just wondering if there was a possibility that could be considered collusion or not?

Is this collusion?

Assuming it was for their own benefit and not just helping you, no, it's not collusion. And most tables will be doing the same thing, so you're at a disadvantage if you don't.
