    the answer is yes because the things you remember from a hand are the details you used in your decision making process. As you become a better player, you pay attention to smaller details, thus you remember more things.

    I can remember more than I used to. Basically, the more thought you put into each hand and your opponents range, the more involved you get in each hand, and therefore it sticks in your memory a lot easier. To further clarify that point, I used to be able to watch a game of football while playing online poker, and have a pretty good idea of what happened in the game, if not missing a few minutes when big pots were happening. I watched a 2 hour football game on TV the other night, and didn't see 1 minute of play. Poker took every bit of my attention.
