But perhaps if I become a solid and tight/aggresive player then a general fear of me (intentionally cultivated ) might be in my favour?

I notice that pro's like Gus Hansen etc, are not afraid to be completly honest and revealing about their thoughts and strategies in their blogs.

Also I have been wondering - what do u think is better - chatting and being friendly on tables or maintaining complete silence?

At the low stakes nobody is going to be looking you up trying to gain an edge. When you do get to the high stakes it would mean you are a very advanced player who mixes up their game well. Even if the other players looked up your posts and read your strategy they shouldn't be able to use it against you in individual hands. Also, people are lazy in general so I would be surprised if even high stakes players looked up your posts and read through them

Bingo. If you're going to play the same way, most of the time, your opponents will figure it out. Some sooner, some later. IF your strategy is always changing, both the observant and the unobservant have something to worry about.
