    Default Good Rookie Books

Being the rookie that I am, I've been doing a lot or reading and watching related videos online but I've yet to crack a book. Been giving it a lot of thought though and I know it's the next logical step to step up my game. I sure would appreciate any input as far what you guys think are some of the best out there. As always, I count on and appreciate all the help I get from Pokerforums.

One book I reread portions of all the time is Super System by Doyle and his friends. Harrington on Holdem is also a great resource.

Best of luck at the tables!

Search feature can help a lot for this. Many threads on good books.

As far as my recommendations (and I am a cash game player):

    1. Small Stakes HoldEm by David Sklansky - It's Limit but it helps you get the hand ranks and stuff situated.

    2. No Limit HoldEm Theory and Practice by David Sklansky - Very good NL book with a lot of good deeper theory.

    3. Professional No Limit HoldEm Volume I by Ed Miller - A very good NL book with a bunch of deep concepts that are important for your game.

    Welcome to the forums!
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

    1) Harrington on holdem (vol 1 to start with)
    2) Phil Gordon little green book and blue book if you liked the green one

    Start with that
