The last couple days I notice that the same 3 people generally sit at the same sitNgo's. I don't think they every confronted each other until the end.
The 3 of them either push or don't play at all. Never limp, never raise. Just push or fold, even if they are currently ahead in chips. They see maybe 1 out of 15 to 20 flops outside of people limping into their SB or BB ...so I assume they are going in with very strong hands. All 3 are successful players,....at least according to poker database.
Makes it very hard to win in a SnG. In cash games, over time it's easy to win off them because they are too predictable...but in SnG's you don't have the luxury of 100-1000 hands to slowy win off of them.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that they are cheating. Lots of regulars play exactly how you have described their play. They probably recognize eachother as well, and will tend to avoid one another.
Maybe I'm wrong and they are cheating, but what MJ said (though brief), makes sense. While they are starting up their sets of SnG's, just don't join them. Open up a smaller buy-in table, wait for them to stop signing up at new tables, then hop in when the table is almost full.Well over $300,000 free every month in 2011 with freerolls, rake races, and rake chases!

I see a TON of the same regulars when I play SnG's, and I think everybody who plays SnG's on a regular basis use a general strategy of super-tight super-agressive (i.e. only move is all-in with any top 5 hand) until the bubble/ITM. It's a mathematically advantageous strategy (logic: if you are always all-in with the best hand, you will win more than lose).

A buddy of mine and I always play together in the $5 sng's together, but we never, ever protect each other. In fact lately, I have had his number. He has had KK against my AA early on 4 of the last 5 tourneys, mine has held three times. There are lots of people that seem to know each other in these, but I don't have a problem with it.

It's not a viable strategy in tournaments until the blinds get large. Nor can you assume you have the strongest hand. It comes down to relying on players folding, coin-flips, and hoping your strong hand doesn't come up against a monster (which eventually you will and lose all your chips). Overall it's a poor strategy until blinds are high. At the end when the blinds are large, there is solid strategy behind pushing or putting small stacks all in.

I always seem to be playing with the same people when I play sngs on stars. I guess its the fact that I am on the same time daily and usually stick to only one or 2 different sngs. I guess you could email support and ask them to look into it. But honestly I have played some sngs with the same people like 4 or 5 times in a night and I did not plan on it.
