Alright well ive been trying to build my BR by playing Sngs. Something i feel real confident in playing. Im using proper BRM so when i do lose it doesent hurt to much but in the past 5-6 ive been three outed or runner runner to bust out. Should i change up my play? im getting all my money in, in dominating postion and then losing? just a bad luck streak or am i doing something wrong?

Well it sounds like you are on a bad streak, however you might be doing something wrong. But we cant tell you what it is, unless you post some hands you feel concerned about.

With the limited information provided, I would guess it is a bad streak. Getting into all-in hands with a dominating position and loosing doesn't happen that often. Well, mathematically speaking if you are in dominant position when you get all-in you should be winning like 80-90% of those hands.

You may also need to see if your style of play is successful overall, if you feel it is and have a track record with it, then stick to what has been doing well. If you go for a month doing poorly, then it might be time to re-evaluate how you are playing.

what do you consider dominating? AK vs QJ? this is not that dominating.

AK vs KQ is more dominating

an over pair to your opponents underpair id better still.

BUT, this is all PF hand situations.

Questions: are you all in to early in the game? Are yo all in on the flop, turn or preflop? generally?


Bad streaks happen. its the bad part about going all in PF...........all 5 community carss are coming whether you like it or not! no control. no play.........................just pray your hand holds up.

From my limited experience, NL2 ring game is a little more profitable than $1 SNGs.
In NL2, 30% of my total earnings are raked by online casino.
In SNGs, 40% of my total earnings are raked.

In tournaments, especially late stage where blind becomes so big that you have to push PF frequently, luck becomes really important and you have no control of it. One hand will make a difference of 20% of the total buy-ins.

So I think you can try micro-stake ring games for a few weeks and see if your profit increases.

However, I have to admit that ring game is really boring compared to tournament. That's why you can easily make money from impatient, tilted players, though.

Are you really getting bad beated or are you playing bad. Everyone uses the excuse that they are getting bad beated when they lose but in all honesty, it's a combination of both. You should actually document every time you bust out and see what happened. At the end of the week if your records show that you lost every single time to bad beats, then don't change a thing. If you find otherwise it may be time to reflect.
