I played some 1c/2c games.
In one hand, a guy called somebody else's 30x pot size all in with 86 suited and got two 6s to claim a $4 dollar pot.
The very next hand I got pocket Aces. I told myself "nice" and raised for tiny 15 cents. Nobody called. DOH!

A few hands later I had pocket 9s. Raised pf and got callers. The flop came small and I raised 1/2 pot. 2 callers for 1/2 pot bet all the way to river, and they had nothing. Thanks for calling!

Many hands later I had pocket Js. Flop came with an Ace so I bet 1/2 pot. Got one caller.
Turn came King. I bet 1/2 pot, the guy called. I thought "he must have either A or K. I am dead."
River came Queen. Great board... he now 100% have me beat. I checked and he checked, to show...

J 10.

I was laughing so hard that I really don't feel anger. Maybe he thinks I have a super straight (there is no flush on board, nothing is paired).

This is why micros are so beatable. Too many players willing to call down with air and too many players that don't charge the maximum when they get monster hands. They really do outweigh the bad beats that happen often.

Yes I agree. If I have AK and hit an A or K on the flop then it can be a big win as many people will call whatever bet just hitting top pair with a weak kicker. Many people will also bet huge (like all in 20x the pot!) just with top pair and weak kicker so if you see someone like that you can also get a big winner fairly easily.

When I'm playing micros, have AK, and hit an ace on the flop, I'm less likely to get all my money in the pot because so many people play any ace that the odds of being against two pair are better. Now if I hit my king, I'd put all my chips in the middle.
