I was on a contract assignment with a website to provide coverage for the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the biggest deal in poker tournaments in the world. The company was putting me up at the Palms for the entire time, expenses covered, in exchange for my journalistic services. This meant writing blogs, updates, interviewing pros - pretty standard stuff. Yeah, I knew a bit about poker, but I had a lot of catching up to do. No sweat, I thought.
