I played with this guy other day... he said there was away i could get % of my rake back over poker stars so he emailed some info


I was wonder ing if anyone has does this or know anyone who has and does it work or is it to good to be true

Here is the email he sent me I met you on Poker Stars and i spoke to you about earning money through rake back. Well it works like this. I am part of the affiliate program for a lot of poker sites. And when i get players through my website, they pay me a good amount of that players rake. I will give you a percentage of what i make from you. Depending on how much u play, i will start you at a certain percent and each month it will grow and grow. Some players make an extra $50 a month, some players make over $1,000. Also if you refer other poker players to me, you will also get a piece of their rake, so it can really add up. Please let me know if this is something you would like to do, and we will move forward. If you would like an estimation on how much you can make, please reply and let me know how many hours a week you play, what limits, and if you play on multiple tables or just 1. I look forward to working with you.

Heh... Peto.. delete this e-mail and don't think about it again. Just my advice.

What I think it happening here is this guy who e-mailed you is an affiliate of some poker sites.. and if he signs up another affiliate (you), he makes a percentage of what you make... basically he's going the pyramid scheme route which is retarded, and most likely means he doesn't have a website of his own to actually get legitimate signups.

Your best bet if you want to make money referring people is to just sign up to the individual poker room affiliate programs directly yourself.

Most poker sites have some kind of affiliate rake back, however it usually doesnt work once you have an accout.

Does this guy have a poker website?
