Default I'd Do Anything

Anyone else out there caught this show on ESPN yet?

Basically they find people who claim they'd "do anything" so that a friend/family member of theirs can live out a sports fantasy (example..."I'd do anything so my dad can play a round of golf at Pebble Beach with Jack Nicklaus.") Each show there's 3-4 people competing against each other ala Fear Factor with the winner getting whatever their sports fantasy prize was.

ESPN had like four episodes on back-to-back last night (who says the NHL strike isn't making an impact on life?) and some of the stunts they had these guys do were just insane. Play 3 holes of miniature golf while covered in 150,000 honey bees...drag 2 tires down a quarter mile drag race track barefoot when then pavement temperature is 156 degrees...try to catch golf balls in a hand net when 60 golfers are 100 yards away hitting at you en masse...cripes, I can't remember some of the others I saw. Oh, yeah...play goalie while a team of professional lacrosse players are hurling balls at you from 15 yards out and return kickoffs (sans blockers) against an arena football team. Anyhow, its an insane show...but it also got me thinking what my "ultimate sports fantasy" would be. (not that you'd catch me doing HALF the stuff I saw last night)

Maybe something like "I'd do anything to play a round at Augusta National with Tiger Woods." What would others go for?

lol Hey guys, I said my fantasy was to play poker, not to compete in the national spelling bee! :-p.

I think that poker is a sport. If golf and car racing are sports then poker should be too. How much athleticism does it take to sit in a car for 3 hours? I'm not putting down the concentration it requires and I certainly couldn't do it without crashing, but almost anyone can sit in a car and drive it around in a cricle. Same with poker. Anyone can do it but it requires intense concentration and focus to do it well, making it a sport.

But my ultimate athletic fantasy would probably be to throw some ally-oop's to Michael Jordan. I played point gaurd on my high school team and it would be nice to see someone do something with one of my passes

I DON'T consider racing or golf sports, but I'll garuntee you that a race is a LOT more physically demanding than poker (or golf, for that matter).
