Default The answer to the "Why?"

There are people on here who find me at the tables on PokerStars, Ultimate Bet, and Full Tilt Poker and chat with me and I like it. It's like running into an old friend at a bar. You people haven't seen me this week. I haven't been contibuting to the forum much either this week as I committed to do. I apologize, Red.

The reason that I've been fairly distant is because my girlfriend, who I've been living with since March, left me because she wasn't cool with some things that I was doing including getting sick of me foolin' around with other girls- and me coming home at 5 AM reekin' of it.

But it happened and I haven't been depressed of anything and it's not so major in the grand scheme of things, but I figured that in this state of mind, I should stay away from gambling, getting into gambling conversations on the forum, and such n' such. This hasn't been an easy week for me, but it hasn't been hard either. (I'm not blowing this out of proportion, and runnin' into walls and shit like that or anything.)

I just saw this as a time to focus on what was most important to me, and of those things, what were priorities and concentrated om those. I won a bowling tournament last week Tuesday and made some good money on some parties that I coordinated at the bowling alley, so poker wasn't on a "need to do" level and I would've lost a lot of money because I was in a "I need to compensate for a loss really really badly" mood that I would've done something stupid like play a $1,000 buy in table and lost it all to TillerMan.

But, I'm back and back for good. Back on PS, UB, and FTP along with here on PF.org. I haven't just disappeared. I took a week off, and will still be a little distant next week, but I'm easing my way back into the thick of things instead of jumping in like a fuckin' madman.

If you don't care, whatever. Fuck you, this message wasn't meant for you. But for those that have sent me e-mails or have just wondered where I've been this week, this is that answer to all of the different "Why...?" questions that you've asked.

-Alex

Hang in there man, times like these can be tough. Good idea not playing poker. I find that when I play at times when I'm not in the best state of mind, I don't usually win
