My point is that it's no one's business but your own who you want to marry.

Fuck everyone who tries to get in your way.

It's gods business. In the bible it says a man is to marry a woman. If this doens't apply to you, then I don't really want to debate anything

I repeat... fuck other people trying to force their religious beliefs on others.

If you're Christian, that's fine with me! I have nothing against that! Feel free to marry all the heterosexuals you want... it's none of my business.

But if someone isn't Christian and you try to force them to be, that is just plain wrong, and it goes against the basic principles on which this country was founded. THAT's why the gay marriage debate is stupid.

If you force someone to obey a law without any justification beyond the rules of YOUR religion, then that is forcing your religious beliefs on them.

Simple enough?

I'm not forcing you to obey any laws.

Outside of religion, is homosexuality morally wrong? I believe it is. Is murder wrong? I believe it is.

I'm assuming you are not a christian. Out of curiosity where do you derive and of your morals from? I'm not trying to sound like an asshole, im seriously curious about that.

If you ban gay marriage by state law, that's pretty forceful. =/

I am Christian actually... confirmed member of the Presbyterian church. However, I don't believe in a strict literal interpretation of the Bible... I prefer to use common sense to derive my morals.

Murder is wrong because it violates another human being's will. Homosexuality is a choice made by two people that has no significant effect on anyone else. People should be left to make choices like these for themselves... no church or state should make these choices for them.

If you want to get techical this country was founded by white, male, christions. You will all remember that it was the hard line christians against blacks and women rights. The gay community will get their rights eventually, it is just sad that some people are against it. They will be the biggots sitting in the nursing homes cursing when the vote passes.
