Wow, just when a fan couldn't get anymore excited about a season starting, in comes Sprewell. He is 34 and wants a contract extension. That is not really the problem, it is that he doesn't want a pay cut from his $14.6 million this year. And I quote, "I gotta put food on the table." Oh my .............. The thought that he would say that is incomprehensable. It makes my tilt just thinking about it.

He also has said that the Wolves' offer wasn't acceptable. I here it was two years, about $10 million per. WTF is all I can say.

Didn't the playoffs just end like a week ago last Tuesday?

I really can't stand the NBA.

Hopefully, this will be my last year as a Celtics fan.

With any luck, I'll get into Georgetown and convert to a college basketball fan.

My Heat got the Nestle Crunch Man. However, I do feel we gave up a lot in that trade. I'm predicting a run to the Eastern Conference Finals.

ahh come on, you know you'll be back in 4 years once your done. And lucky for you , by then we should actually have a competitive team! I've been pretty turned off my the NBA for about 4 years now. Even if the Celtics were good I wouldn't care so much. None of these players try. You see em on Defense just fucking around all day. I watch ESPN Classic and see those guys busting there ass for 48 minutes in every aspect of the game. Now its just ehh. Not exciting, no effort. Give me Bird and Magic baby!

Hey, Vegas odds on the Boston Celtics being 2005 NBA champs are only 50-to-1. Only 10 teams in the league can boast better odds.

And then there's the Charlotte Bobcats at 750-to-1...anyone interested in a longshot?

50-1!!!! I would give anyone who wanted 250-1 odds against that. Any takers? There is just no way the Celtics are the 11th best team in the NBA. In no particular order:

Indiana
Detroit
Milwakee
Miami
LA Lakers
Dallas
San Antonio
Sacramento
Houston
Minnesota
Philly

I think they all easily have a better shot than boston. I could think of more if I wanted to put effort into it but I'm slacking off at work, effort is pretty much non-exsistant this time of day (which explains why I only post to this forum between 10 and 6 Mon-Friday).

50-1 is terrible. I would NEVER take those odds... this is a terrible team we have!
