Default iPod Suggestions? Ideas?

I'm interested in buying an iPod. I've shopped around a bit and will probably get a 4gb blue mini. It supposedly holds 1000 songs which is plenty for me. I looked at the shuffles, but would rather have one of these. The cost is $200 and you get freeshipping and laser engraved name on back. Anyone else care to share their iPod experiences? I've talked to 4-5 people, and everyone is in love with it.

love it. green is pretty. also it survived being dropped a couple times, but if you want to keep it unscratched, you should buy one of those rubber thingies. and when you start driving you can get a thing to hook it up to your car, which i think is neat, although i don't have one.

I didn't think I would be a big fan, but when I got one as a graduation present, I fell in love. I use it daily in my car with a 25 dollar car adapter. I got the 4 gb mini btw.

When I get one, it will probably be an MP3 player rather than an IPod - more memory for less money.

I had a creative jukebox when the 20g first came out about 4 years ago, it was an amazing little unit, a to be honest I'm more of a fan of the Creative products...I just bought an Sony with 512mb for about 125 bucks, much better choice than the shuffle imo for the same price (or so). I hvae heard 0 complaints about the iPod though, should be a very good buy, but it just boils down to brand preference for ya Bonch!
