Essentially radio shows that you can dl through itunes...started off as a bunch of indepenent people doing what pretty much amounted to audio blogs. Just recently, however, a lot of larger 'corporations' have started releasing them (espn, cnn, etc.). Go to dawnanddrew.com and listen to a few episodes. They were one of the early pioneers of podcasts and are IMO friggin' hilarious.
