Interesting article about a problem that few know about. If you're planning on buying a new internet router, might want to wait a bit

It's actually very well known. I've been keeping on an eye of it for a couple years now.
It shouldn't be a problem with routers, as the manufacturers fully expected this it happen eventually, and probably have frimware upgrades in the wings for when it happens. And anayways, pretty sure your home router won't run out of 192.168.x.x addresses. It will just get assigned a new IPv6 address, but your home network will still be assigned IPv4 addresses locally. Kinda like those extra numbers in the zip codes, or extensions to phone numbers.
It's the web designers and hosts that will have issues.
I truly think that on the frontend, the users will never know a switch has been made.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

Yeah... they saw this coming for a while... back in like '06-'08 they said they'd run out around 2015. Well the net bloomed even faster than they expected, mainly due to the explosion of portable devices that can access the net.
They've kinda kept it quiet, since they don't want another Y2K hysteria. But then, the hysteria is what saved us from anything really happening. That is, aside from my college buddy losing his GF over all the hours he worked reprogramming old machines.....Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
