I dunno your situation, but you can always have a roomate. Basically you split the cost of rent/utilities(I see ads in my paper for like $300).

And remember, you added a lot of luxury stuff into your budget that you could afford not to buy. I mean, you could live off Top Ramen if you had to. And you don't have to have cable at first.

Heres my frugal list of expenses(worst case scenerio):

rent: $300 (room mate)
food:$100-150(noodles/pasta/soda/coffee)
internet:$10-40(dialup or DSL/cable)
entertainment:$0-20(Library or movie store specials)

Of course I'm ignoring the other stuff like server costs and retirement because I know little of that stuff, but you could cut corners if you really really wanted to move out.

Yes, having a roommate would make things a ton cheaper... that's for sure.. but really, I want my own place.. especially since I work from home.. I have weird hours and need peace and quiet to work, etc.

I can definitely afford to move out now I believe.. I think my main question right now lies in how nice a place to get. I can get a really nice place for $650-$700.. like really nice.. but right now I'm looking for something in the $575-$625 range..
