Default In case you haven't noticed, I'm back.

So, I've already posted a lot of what's happened over on the online poker room discussion, but I thought I'd share it here:

As you may have noticed, I left around the beginning of December after going from $120 to $20-25 (I don't recall exactly). I started playing Stud8 ring games on rare occasions back in April, and I've built my BR to $40. I'm still a ways from a BR that's sized to play at the limits I want to play at, but I've learned not to go to those limits just yet. I've also learned that you shouldn't experiment with new playstyles while playing over your BR (don't ask me why I didn't know that before, I still don't know myself).

What's been going on with me while I've been gone? Well, here it is:

I started college at Truckee Meadows Community College. I'm much more relaxed now, and I spend most of my time up here at the college on my laptop (which is also new). I enjoy spending time up here. It's a beautiful place to me.

I am now, officially, a non-denominational Taoist. ...I've just spent the last five minutes trying to figure out what to say about that, only to discover that that's really all there is to it.

I've self-diagnosed myself with Asperger's Syndrome. It does affect my poker abilities, in both good and bad ways.

I don't think I'll be posting here that much, but I would like to write about stud8. I think this forum would benefit from a little bit more non-NLHE discussion. I also think the BR's of some of the people here would benefit from stud8 play (you guys seriously can't even comprehend how fishy it is).

What is your Asperger's Syndrome focused on?

You mean my obsession? Right now, I'm not even sure. My obsessions are cyclical. I'm attempting to find a way to control or guide them, so that I can be really into things that would benefit me the most in life. I think I may be in-between obsessions right now (it won't last), but autism was my last one. It's fading, and another one is set to take its place. I'm fairly sure it's going to be religion. I seem to be coming back to that one fast.

Please note that I didn't say my AS was focused on that. I said that I was.

True, but that is because people merely look at the diagnostic criteria and justify it to claim that they're AS. There are tests that are considered fairly accurate that are available online. As far as professionals go, I don't consider it that important to actually get officially diagnosed. I am who I am, basically. I don't need a piece of paper telling me that I can be included into a certain group.
