    The wife and I decided to become proud chicken owners, and now have Mabel and Myrtyl (no, I didn't name them).



    And here's the first egg we got:



    Mmm, fresh eggs

    Actually no, they were meant to be 18 weeks old, so they shouldn't have started laying for another few weeks. No idea why one started straight away. The other has been laying "bouncy" eggs every now and then, I guess because she doesn't have enought calcium in her diet. Just bought some mixed grit which should help

    For some reason I always assume people on here are much younger than they are.
