I've been trying to work out how to also, but now my mic has stopped working it's not going well.

If it's of any help camstudio seems to do the job of screen-capturing and then you need to compress it to something like DivX both are found for free download online.

Step 1: Choose your video creation software. Camstudio is free and should do everything you need. CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software
Step 2: Install the software and any codecs it requires (Read the installation guide)
Step 3: Read the instructions that come with the software. It's pretty basic, launch software, do stuff on your computer (e.g. play a poker game). Speak into mic optional. Press "stop" on the software when done. Make sure you have the proper microphone selected if you are using one.
Step 4: Use you software to review/edit the video such as adding text captions
Step 5: Save your video to a common format such as AVI
Step 6: Upload to YouTube (create account first)

Have problems with steps 2 - 5? Refer to your software website, forums, manual. Good luck! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Dont bother editing it. The guys at CR never seemed to. It just started when they hit play and they explained what they were doing then when they were done they just hit the stop button and said goodbye this is the end of the vid.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

i was attempting to edit it so that some of the crap could be taken out as it lasted over an hour in total. i also forgot to include sound the first time so i was trying to figure out if i could edit in me chatting (still have no idea if i can or not)

im gonna experiment a little more over the next day or two till i get the hang of it all (the poker and the videoing) but id expect to post one by the weekend id guess.

    Don't bother editing imo.

A useful thing to do is record yourself playing with no commentary (maybe 4 tables or whatever you usually play) and then play it back, this time commentating on it and you can pause it at certain points to explain stuff that you might not ordinarily have the time to in live play. Also you know where the long boring stretches are so you know when to have stuff to speak about and when you will be playing big hands.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

maybe a stupid question but i assume a video of 4 tabling will still be viewable when reduced down to youtube size?
