it's a good laydown because villian could be betting with kings, possibly even a weaker ace.

I couldn't see what the blinds were or nothing like that or how much 10,000 was in comparision to phil's stack or the other guys. But in that situation, after both checking the flop and then the Q hitting on the turn. After the reraise preflop, you could put him on AQ, or QQ. Sure he could have had KK. I think its pretty easy to lay down TPTK here. Online, I would have called though for sure.

Yeah that was a good laydown. but if i bought myself in for 10k, id be playing tight.

You're right quite a few could lay it down there. But note how he didn't lose a single chip, if you disregard the preflop call.

yeah, im not saying i fold 100 percent of the time, in phils show, i probably call and hope he has KQ or something.

what would have happend if another 4 hit's in place of the Q, i dont think phil can lay it down there. maybe he thinks chop pot but, he definately can't put him on a 4 with that raise pre

for the hand analysis part of the thread, the guys bet on the turn was so obviously a big hand the way he did it, he gave off so so many tells.

Staying still and quiet ftw.
