Monitor sizes
Will a 22" monitor tile 4 tables of ongame or ipoker without overlap? I am getting a bigger monitor but unsure of whether to get 22 or 24.
Amazon.co.uk: Samsung SM226BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor: Electronics & Photo - 22" samsung
Acer AL2416WB 24" TFT Monitor Widescreen 1920x1200 1000:1 400cd/m2 5ms Silver/Black 3 Years Warranty - Ebuyer - 24" acer
The samsung specs are FAR better and so I'd prefer this one prob, but as it's going to be used for multitabling I need to know whether it'll do the tables right. Plus the 24" is only another £20 or so which is damn cheap.
Also, are the specs on the acer bad enough that I'd actually notice seeing how I only use it for poker, work stuff and watching the odd film? It's not like I want super duper gaming graphics or anything, just something that'd run films well and have a large screen.
Also there's this one:
Amazon.co.uk: Acer X222W 22" Widescreen TFT Monitor 5ms 2500:1 Contrast Ratio: Electronics & Photo - acer 22" which is a fair bit cheaper than samsung, worth just getting that instead?

Use the mintables and a 22" monitor will tile about 6 without overlap.

I have a 24" Acer, never had a problem with it. Been over 2 years since I got it.

I use minitables now and do 4 happily on a 19". I want to use full sized tables cos the HUD gets messed up on mini's and I can't click folks name to get all the stats (cos you have to kind of move all the stats into the corner of a full screen layout, if you know what I mean).
At the moment I can't tile 4 full tables on a 19", it's close but they overlap.

Monitor size is irrelevant. Its all about the resolution baby.
Download something called pixel ruler: Pixel Ruler Download
Work out the are of 4 tiled Ongame tables and then make sure your monitor has that resolution.
I fully reccomend aria.co.uk. Look for deal of the day and you can get some great bargains. I got the 30" huge res. Dell monitor which fits 9 tables for about £700, standard price seems to be closer to £1100 on the new model.

Also to any others out there considering buying a bigger monitor/multiple monitors for poker my experience is that 1 large monitor is far, far superior to split monitors. I find focusing on just one 30" screen allows me to observe all tables to some extent, however when I had 2 points of focus with my dual 20"ish monitors I didnt find it as easy to keep track.
