Default Who is good at computers/internet etc?

I want to open up a new account at a poker site I already have an account with.

I have today bought a second ISP so in that respect I am safe, however I am using the same computer. I would rather not have to reformat my hard drive is there an easier way to avoid detection?

You've lost me a bit Wota - Why have you bought a second isp? The only reason you'd need a second isp is if you were planning on playing both accounts on the same table and I know you're not doing that.

If you're worried about the poker site correlating your ip address with the 2 accounts then there was no need to change isp. Most uk isps will give you a different ip address each time you connect. You can check by :

a) logging onto you router if you have one and basically look for your broadband connection status - it should state the ip address in ther.

or

b) If you connect directly using a modem, press Start -> Run and type cmd press Enter and then type ipconfig in the command window

Then reset your router (or reconnect if you use a modem) and run the tests again. Has your ip address changed? If it has stayed the same then it is likely that you may have a fixed ip address. Your isp will be able to confirm and also change it for you.

As for reformatting your drive - again there is no need to do that. Just because you've logged into both accounts form the same PC does not prove that they both belong to you.

So you still lurk Meldon?

Basically I want to sign up at a site where I have an exiisting account to get a better rakeback deal, however if they realise I already have an account there I expect it gets closed down and I lose rakeback.

This is the first time I've been on for ages - mainly to keep up to date with the soap opera that alex is a scammer!!! Not played poker for a while as I had to cash out my accounts to put down on a car. Not a bad little return for a 0.25/0.50 player.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it - if you want to be ultra-careful just uninstall the client and delete your cookies just in case they store anything in them (I doubt it). Make sure usernames and email addresses and personal info are different and you'll be fine.

Use a family member's info instead (and make a new email address that looks like it would be theirs). I did that for fulltilt, it's perfectly fine. For all they know it's my dad and not me playing on the rakeback account. The rakeback sites even tell you to do this, just don't say anything in chat that gives away "hey im playing on a fake 2nd account"
