Serious discussion lads...
Right it's that time, and I have one of the toughest decisions known to man, Xbox/PS3/Wii, which to get?
I want all 3 but it's not exactly plausible just yet. I figure one day I'll have the Wii with either Xbox/PS3 but I don't know which.
PS3 with 2 controllers and a couple of games we're looking at £400
Xbox with 2 controllers and a couple of games it's about £300
Wii with 2 controllers and a few games, memory card etc. is just under £300
What to do? What to do?

If you into movies and want blu-ray or don't already have one get the ps3. If you are just getting it to play games get the 360. I have it and could not be happier. Plus the 360 has soo many more games to choose from.
Either way its a +EV move.

How much do blu-ray players cost these days? I'd be buying primarily for games but also with a good interest in having a dvd player.

PS3 = free blu-ray player, upscaling of standard DVD to look HD, FREE online, wifi built in, free hard drive.
360 = HDDVD add-on costs extra (lost war to blu-ray), online costs yearly, wireless adapter cost extra, more storage costs extra.
You'll wind up spending more on the 360 to have it do the same as the PS3 you get out of box.
Plus, the best games on 360 can be found on PS3 (Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Call of Duty 4, Army of Two, any sports title). Not to mention Metal Gear Solid 4 will be PS3 only.
